How to explain a gap in employment for MBA application.?

If I understand the question, the gap is a three-month summer break to study for exams. It need not be explained on your applications unless you are specifically instructed to account for every month of your time. If you need to explain it, state that you used the time to study for the exams, which is a legitimate reason for the break.
