What should I build with an old basketball rim and backboard:?

I have an old basketball rim and backboard. Both in good condition. Unfortunately the base from on them. I could always rebuild a base but thats no fun. Other that making a clothes hamper, what are some cool ideas of things I could build using the old rim and backboard? Any suggestions?
